Leading Industry Analyst Firm Places i-Sprint AccessMatrix Universal Sign-On in "Niche" Quadrant in Enterprise Single Sign-On Magic Quadrant
10th September 2007

i-Sprint Innovations, a solution provider of Strong Authentication, Access Control and Single Sign-On for global financial institutions, has been positioned as a “Niche” player in the first ever Gartner's "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Single Sign-on, 2007". i-Sprint is well positioned in the Niche quadrant due to their strength in the financial services market.

AccessMatrix USO differentiates itself from other ESSO vendors by providing product features well suited for the banking environments with strong security focus. With the proven multi-tier java based architecture, AccessMatrix USO provides granular administrative control, and good audit and reporting features. AccessMatrix USO's mid-tier architecture has been certified to be hosted on various OS platforms, including IBM z/OS, Linux, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX and Windows.

i-Sprint’s ESSO technology provides substantial benefits and enables the convergence of ESSO and WebSSO solutions into a single SSO platform. The proven integration with the leading WebSSO products such as IBM Tivoli Access Manager, CA SiteMinder, Sun ONE Access Manager, etc and Web Portal Server products such as IBM Websphere Portal Server, BEA Weblogic Portal Server, Sun ONE Portal Server and Vignette Portal Server, etc create a seamless integrated platform for organization to achieve a unified application access and single sign-on platform for both web, non-web and legacy applications. “i-Sprint SSO approach removes the integration complexity for our clients’ existing IAM infrastructure. Our solution not , only can enable our clients to leverage their authentication infrastructure, but also allow them incrementally to introduce strong authentications to their business users based on their risk profiles,” said Albert Ching, CEO i-Sprint Innovations. “With our multi-tier architecture, our ESSO product has been proven to be highly scalable with both vertical and horizontal scaling approaches. Our unique small footprint client and auto configuration technology simplifies the deployment challenges and accommodates clients of all sizes and across all industries.”

i-Sprint banks on banking industry to go global
Business Times, 2nd August 2007

HIT on one and you hit them all everywhere. That, along with building up an impressive clientele list, seems to be the strategy i-Sprint Innovations is employing in hitching its fortune to banks to enable the information security software company to go global.

'We are totally and single mindedly focused on the banking industry,' says the company's chief executive Albert Ching. 'Bankers all over the world are the same. They are risk-averse and want solutions that work with proven implementations. If the solution works, they will spread the good news by word-of- mouth to their peers in the industry.'

All i-Sprint needs to do is do a good job with a bank's headquarters - and the rest of its overseas branches will buy i-Sprint's software, according to Mr Ching. 'This is the nature of the security business,' he says.

The key challenge is to prove that you are better than others because, Mr Ching points out, the competition out there is strong and very keen.

'We must be able to show our unique selling propositions,' he says. 'Certainly, one of those is our core competence, ie, our proven track record in the security business for the financial services industry.'

Mr Ching says i-Sprint, which today has offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and the United States, has built up a strong list of international clients that has become a selling point.

The seven-year-old company was founded on a vision 'to build bank-centric information security software to secure application access'.

'Our corporate goals were - and will continue to be - to win Fortune 20 global financial institutions as our reference clients and extend to other financial institutions and other vertical markets globally,' Mr Ching says.

A key challenge for i-Sprint, which boasts clients from North America, Europe, Japan and China among others, is to leverage its clientele list and proven solutions to maximise its revenues.

'Therefore, we continue to refine our product and distribution strategy to ensure that our solutions are still relevant in addressing the security needs of our clients and streamline our products to facilitate the sales via our distribution channels,' Mr Ching says.

The company, which has a staff of 55, has good reason to keep up with the fine-tuning - and to learn from its clients.

'Security concerns and challenges have become a worldwide phenomenon,' Mr Ching says. 'We do see a surge in demand for our solutions from banks to strengthen their internal control requirements and e-Channel security requirements.'

i-Sprint has also managed to make deep inroads in selling its software products globally because, right from the start, it has targeted all the financial centres in the world as its markets. And it understood that banking was not a localised business.

'Our clients are globally represented,' Mr Ching says. 'Unless we understand what it takes to satisfy the banking regulators of the countries where our clients are represented, our solutions will not be accepted by the banks.'

Mr Ching declines to reveal sales figures. He would only say that, except for Europe, 'our business is growing rapidly in our target markets'.

'We need to quickly establish strong business partnerships with the large system integrators that can help us fully exploit the market potential,' he says.
