What is happening to our Digital Assets?

19 May 2016 - Bangladesh Bank official’s computer was hacked to carry out $81 million heist. The $81 million in stolen money ended up in the Philippines but there was no other information who the hackers were. A similar case reoccur in June 2016 affecting a Ukrainian bank, and hackers manage to take off with $10 million. Moreover, it was reported that dozens of other banks have been compromised, from which has been stolen hundreds of millions of dollars. Hackers are targeting more than the banking industry. In June 2016, 2100 servers in Malaysia have been hacked and more than 32 million Twitter login credentials were made available and sold on the dark web. Digital assets is vulnerable to attacks but what can we do to protect our assets?

Case Study: 2FA & Token Management Platform
for Reputable Bank in Singapore

2FA Solution For Online Banking

Reputable bank in Singapore needed an Internet Banking channel to serve its consumer and corporate banking clients in the Asia Pacific region. The bank needs a common security solution to help them address the Two Factor Authentication (2FA) requirements, at the same time, provides administration and management functions to handle distribution and management of hardware tokens. It must comply or exceed security guidelines outlined by all the central banks in the Asia Pacific region including the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), etc. i-Sprint assisted the bank to implement and deploy our AccessMatrix Universal Authentication Server (UAS) to meet the above requirements. Furthermore, the solution was designed and proposed to enable the co-existence of current ActivCard OTP tokens which protects existing investments.
